SAFETY REMINDER

In the response to the rising cases of patients infected with the COVID 19 virus, the Rotary Club of Baguio Summer Capital through the initiative of Pres. Tolitz Villanueva will launch the “Let us fight the COVID 19 virus together”, information dissemination campaign, this 1st week of August. Free medical/dental prescription pads will be given to our bro’s/ann’s practitioners to remind their patients of important habits.

“When you protect yourself,
you protect those you love.
Wear your facemask properly,
wash your hands often,
keep one meter distance
and stay informed.”

RCBSC IN SUNSTAR

Starting July 25 and hopefully every week, the RCBSC’s various activities will be published in SunStar Baguio’s community paper both online and newsprint. It will be a good way to promote the goals of our club and document our undertakings.

EMPOWERING THE YOUTH

The Rotaract Club of SLU-SAMCIS with their advisers, RCBSC Past President Anton Baltazar and Director of Youth Service Delfin Tokyas provided meaningful webinar series to keep the     students busy during their stay at home. This will  surely enhance the knowledge and skills of    students. The first guest speaker  was our very own member and Past District Governor, and a known businessman, and  was also an awardee of the “Most Outstanding Citizens of Baguio”. His topic was on                      Entrepreneurship. The discussion was interactive and inspiring.  His charisma and narrative made the seminar a lasting experience.

INSIDE TRAVEL AGENCY

The second series of webinar   provided by the Rotaract Club of SLU-SAMCIS is on the topic of   Tourism, specifically on how to have your own travel agency. The speaker is a known travel agency owner, a registered speaker by the         Department of Tourism, and a member of the different Travel and Tourism organizations both locally and regionally. Ms. Jeneffer Palacsa Baltazar of Agetyeng Travel and Tours has been on the forefront of tourism and travel for some years now and she is considered as one of the best in her field of expertise. She gave the ins and outs of putting up a travel agency as well as the difficulties that one might           encounter during the setting of his or her own business.

GRANT MANAGEMENT SEMINAR

Global grants support large               international projects  which focuses on sustainability and measurable outcome through the Rotary’s area of focus. Just this July 25, a webinar seminar was   provided by the district to enable clubs to know how to apply for possible grants and what typical projects are   feasible. RCBSC with Pres. Tolitz and the RCB North headed by their President Mai Lopez had a watch party at Baguio Country Club to listen to the different speakers on the topic of Global Grants. It was an interesting lecture that gave us an overview on the how, what and the process of grants.

Service Community Project:

Rice Donation

The COVID 19 pandemic has greatly affected us economically. The Rotary Club of Baguio Summer Capital and Rotary Clubs of District 3730 of Korea, Gangneung Yulgok, Sokcho Eunsol and Wonju has formulated a community service project that would provide assistance to combat hunger. They have decided to give rice relief to chosen indigents. RCBSC headed by project Chairman Joey Ahn and members had a meeting to decide on who, when, and where the relief will be given.
